This year was my biggest canning year yet. Jennifer came over and we canned 100 pounds of tomatoes together. We did 50 pounds of just canned tomatoes and 50 pounds of spaghetti sauce. The sauce took over 3 days to cook down and can and then waterbath. I also did 50 lbs of pickles this year. Most of it went into spears but I did do 8 lbs into relish. Then proceeded to freeze onions, greens peppers, hand picked strawberries and raspberries. This week I may flash freeze green beans as my awesome neighbor has told me I have free reign in his garden. If I can bribe Jennifer over here again I would love to spend a day making calzones, pasties, pizza rolls, pizza dough and pierogies. Always much more fun with a friend. Loving the life of a stay at home mom!

First day of Co-op
Last Thursday was Cahill's first day of the homeschooling Co-op on Thursdays. She was excited to return and see all of her friends. But the best part was that Ashlynn was able to join us at the Co-op in preschool. Last year Cahill did a boxed curriculum called My Father's World that was semi literature based. This year we are going off the books and doing First grade/ K completely literature based. Some of it will be following the FIAR and some of it will be completely interest led. I can not tell you how excited I am to enter these uncharted territories and to explore a direction I feel God is leading my heart. We plan on lots of hikes, lots of reading, lot of science experiments and crafts!
Awana
This is Cahill's 3rd year in Awana at Bible Baptist church. She was so excited to go the first night and to graduate from Cubbies into Sparks.
Boating with Pappa
I am sorry to report that we only made it out on the boat one time this year. We have had crazy weather and the water temperature has been freezing. Finally in September we made it out on a 80 degree day with a water temperature of 62 degrees. We did not do a lot of swimming but we did do some sight seeing and pulled up pretty close to the Maritime boat. The girls enjoyed driving the boat and dipping their piggies into the water. Of course at the end of the trip on the dock Ashlynn decided to strip down.
