One of the cute series we have been reading is Fancy Nancy. This is Ashlynn's idea of what she would look like as Fancy Nancy.

Reading
If someone had asked me when my children were born what did I think the hardest thing to teach them would be. I would have replied potty training. Wow I never considered that reading would be harder to teach then potty training. We have had a interesting year working on reading. But we have come a long way this year and I am happy to say Cahill is reading well. Ashy loves to sit and listen to Cahill weed through her words. A couple of months ago we started a reading rewards chart. Each chart has 20 spaces to be filled. As of today, Cahill has read 65 books to us and still working away at it. We are no way near perfect readers but still diligently working at it.
Dancing
I realize I am almost four months behind in blogging so bear with me on some of these Christmas shots. Music is a huge part of our life in the Stimpson home. It could be singing, practicing piano or even dancing. We sing in the shower, while we are cooking, when we are cleaning and just about any other time we can. The girls also love to dance all around the house and knock each other over. Cahills favorite song right now is "Overcome" by Peter KNeu (i think that is how you spell his name). If you have not heard this song you are missing out..

Stimpson Christmas
I was very lazy this Christmas with taking pictures. I do have more to come but need to pull off of camera first. Here are some cute ones from our Stimpson Christmas. Imagine three days of no cleaning, no cooking, lots of reading and running.. ahhh it was good.. The girls loved Aunty Chanty (Chantal) and pretty much stalked her which was awesome because they ignored me. They also had a blast with their cousins whom they adore. Alice as usual spoiled all of us rotten and worked extra hard to make sure Cahill was protected from any gluten. (Bless her heart)

Birthday Day!!!
On Ashlynn's actual day of birth she went out on a date day with mommy. We went out to eat at Megan's restaurant. It was hilarious as Ashlynn has never really been out to eat since she was a little baby. She had a blast touching everything and just staring out the window. She had a huge sundae for dessert. But the best part of the whole thing for her was having Megan wait on us. She had huge smiles..After lunch we went to Toys r us to but a couple toys with her birthday money. Of course she picked out Littlest Pet Shoppe and a marble run..(which we love)

Birthday Party Snowman
Lily, Lois and Sophia stayed a little after the party and played outside with my girls. They rolled and rolled and rolled snow around until pretty much the yard was empty.
The Frozen Party
The best part about Ashlynn's Birthday was the one inch of snow we received over night. I had so much fun planning and decorating for this party. I chose to do a simple cake with fun free decorations. Ashy had a blast eating and opening fantastic presents. All of the girls even made it outside to make their very own Olaf snowman.
