Easter

We were so blessed to have our in-laws join us up in Traverse City for Easter. We all went to Easter service at Baypointe, where Megan and her family joined us. Then we started our Sunday morning with homemade gluten-free donuts. Unfortunately we just found out Ashlynn is allergic to chocolate so we had to roll them in cinnamon and sugar instead. We had an amazing dinner of steak and lobster!!! Fred spent some time teaching Cahill how to draw turkey's . Cahill has been spending a tremendous time drawing and coloring. We also had special time in the week before Easter to discuss the true meaning. Each year it is incredible to dig deeper and watch their hearts and minds absorb and understand more. Cahill and I read parts of the Bible and had some heavy discussions. It was a very exciting time for me as a mom to teach , discuss and pray over the incredible sacrifice that Jesus did for us.

Dentist please

The girls had a teeth cleaning this winter and Cahill came home with a few souvenirs. She was more then happy to chase us all around the house trying to clean our teeth. (she will come to your house if needed)

March Madness

March has been a mixed bag of blessings and terrors. The month started with fun adventures, two trips to Great Wolf Lodge and beautiful weather almost reaching the 60's. We even spend a weekend in Saginaw having a date day and celebrating Tyler's Birthday. But with spring came a nightmare virus which left me in bed for almost 4 full days. The girls and I had atleast a full week of intense sickness. Each morning I now wake up praising the Lord for health. But as the sickness is slowly leaving our home so is the beautiful warm weather. I took these pictures of Ashlynn as she looked outside watching the snow fall and saying "snow go away!

Coloring crazy

Lately all Cahill wants to do is color and draw. She will color 20 pages a day and draw up to 10 drawings. Some of the time Ashlynn will join her. A lot of this coloring is done in a attempt to avoid schooling I am sure. My fridge and doors are buried in beautiful colors and each sheet has the worth of gold.

Grams Christmas

We did not celebrate Grams Christmas at the cabin but we did celebrate at Debbie's house. The food was a Mexican theme.(insert very happy Jessica) Most of the family was there celebrating and others were missed. We kept the new tradition of white elephant gifts. (always a riot) Cahill loved baby CeCe and sang to her and snuggled her.

Christmas Parties

We had so many Christmas parties this year with so many incredible family members and friends. This year for the first time we decided to host a Christmas party at our house with some of our dearest friends. We ended up with five couple and some fun kids. We had great finger foods and strange green drinks called "The Grinch". We played games until we almost fell asleep. Charades of course being my favorites followed any other crazy ideas we could come up.

Piano lessons

Cahill and I have been taking piano lessons all school year. We are both almost finished with our books and working hard to make it to the second book. Thank goodness for a wonderful teacher who has worked with us financially. Cahill has even been giving her dad some lessons.
